Apparently Disney is making its first Russian produced film called "The Book of Masters". There is not much information about it right now but I believe it is a live-action fairy tale. It is supposed to be released in fall 2009.
Speaking of Russians, anyone interested in Glago's Quest?

The Next Platinum Editions
As you all know, Disney's Sleeping Beauty is to be the first of the platinum edition movies to be released on blue ray. Over the next couple of years, 5 classics will follow. Pinocchio, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, and Beauty and the Beast are next up on Blue Ray.
I'm really pumped for Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 (I saw it in theatres!). What's interesting about the Fantasia 2000 is that it will be it's first re-release. I already have Fantasia on DVD but I'll buy the Platinum Edition version too because I'm that obsessed.

Sleeping Beauty Lithograph
Recently I went to the Disney Store and pre-ordered Disney's Platinum Edition Sleeping Beauty. I recieved a discount and four wonderful lithographs. They're so beautiful I thought that I should show you. The scans are sort of blurry and my scanner isn't big enough to scan the whole lithograph. I hope you don't mind.

Coraline Behind-the-Scenes
A while ago I found out about Henry Selick (director of Nightmare Before Christmas) directing the stop-motion film Coraline. I just read the book, the basis of the movie, and it is wonderful. It's an easy read because it's a children's novel so there's no excuse for not reading it.
I decided to look up when the movie was coming out and discovered four new behind-the-scenes clips have just been released.

Rhapsody Commercial
United Airlines has a new commercial that I have seen during the olympics. What does this have to do with Disney? Why, they use the song "Rhapsody in Blue". Still don't get it? Rhapsody in Blue was also used in Disney's "Fantasia 2000".
It's classical music but it's still worthy of being in the movie. The art style is much like "Class of 3000" and very different from your typical disney animation (just like Lilo and Stitch). My favorite part would have to be when Rachel, the little girl, is trying different things but keeps screwing up. Oh, and does anyone else think John looks like Mr. Snoops from Rescuers?

Just something fun to share with everyone :)

Why am I not surprised?
Johnny Depp is working for Tim Burton... again. He is playing in an odd movie as an odd character... again. Yes, Johnny Depp is playing as Mad Hatter in Disney's live action Alice in Wonderland. I think he will do wonderfully. He'll be just like the original Mad Hatter, except hotter.
Oh, and Mia Wasikowska has been cast as Alice.

Frog Princess Teaser Trailer IS HERE!!!
The moment I saw the words "teaser trailer", I LOST MY FREAKIN MIND!!! The link is right below. Click on it. It's not a request, it's a demand! I must add, Disney was right to cast Anika Rose as the voice of Tiana.
